As Chief Digital Officers, we have been fulfilling a relatively new leadership role. Around 2010, companies recognized they needed digital strategies to connect to tech-savvy consumers and defend against digital disruption. Our main duty is to help our company set and execute digital strategies that will drive digital revenue, improve customer engagement, optimize operations, and generate new business opportunities. We foster the usage of digital information and modern technologies, such as cloud, mobile, social media, big data, and AI. For traditional businesses, we convert from an analog to a digital business model. This digital transformation can entail major changes to an enterprise's technology architecture, business processes, products, and job roles. This process requires strategic leadership and change management skills from Chief Digital Officers.
