What does a CHIEF Executive Officer do?

Fulfilling the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO), we are responsible for the strategy, vision and financial well-being of a business or organization. To this end, we make major managerial decisions and lead the development and execution of strategies. We have the ultimate authority for final decisions. We are responsible for managing resources and operations, as well as for defining the vision and the public image. We are accountable to the Board of Directors, while we manage all other executives. Our roles and responsibilities vary based on the organizational structure and size of the company. In smaller businesses CEOs are involved in daily operations in addition to upper-level decision-making and strategic planning.
