What does a Chief Marketing Officer do?

Being in charge of the marketing strategy as Chief Marketing Officers (CMO), we are responsible for advertising and branding a company. We develop and execute marketing and advertising campaigns to increase revenue. Our daily duties include managing all marketing operations, assessing and improving existing initiatives, and devising new strategies. We also conduct research to ensure staying abreast of competitors. We are accountable for the marketing budget. We report directly to the COO as well as lead and develop the marketing team. Collaborating with external agencies and a variety of in-house teams is part of the job portfolio of a CMO.

  • plan and implement marketing and advertising campaigns
  • set marketing goals and objectives, determine and track KPIs
  • attend marketing conferences and educational programs
