Children’s Literacy Initiative’s goal is to narrow the reading education gap between children living in poverty and their intermediate peers. The heart and soul of CLI’s programs are effective literacy education coupled with excellent children’s books. The bulk of the students in its classrooms come from low-income households with little or no access to literature. CLI is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating a culture of excellence in the workplace by providing the framework for a courteous, collaborative, creative, and ethical environment.
