With more than 1,600 restaurants and 100,000 team members, Chili’s is a world class casual dining brand. Every day, Chili’s® Grill & Bars welcome more than a million guests in 32 different countries. The company happily celebrated 20 years in Mexico and is opening new locations in Asia and beyond. The original idea to create a place to hang out with friends is still prevailing, and the traditional or non-traditional restaurants of the large franchise network offer a fun, energetic atmosphere and classic American favorites like Big Mouth® Burgers, Baby Back Ribs, Sizzling Fajitas and delicious appetizers. Chili’s® Grill & Bar places real value in innovation in food, technology and the guest experience. Chili’s started as a neighborhood-style restaurant that served quality homemade food in a casual atmosphere in 1975 in Dallas, Texas. In 1991, the name was changed to Brinker International, Inc. and the company went public and global. The company values are driven by integrity, teamwork, passion and the commitment to making sure every guest has an exceptional dining experience. For you as a future team member, restaurant manager or restaurant support center associate, Chili's offers a base pay, coupled with bonuses, benefits and partner discounts.

Reflecting on my time as an employee at Chili's, I had the privilege of experiencing firsthand the vibrant atmosphere and dynamic culture that defined this iconic restaurant chain. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I knew I was part of something special—a team dedicated not only to serving delicious food but also to creating memorable experiences for every guest who walked through our doors. My journey at Chili's was nothing short of fulfilling. From rolling silverware to orchestrating bustling Friday night rushes, each shift brought new challenges and opportunities for growth. I learned the art of multitasking, mastering the delicate balance between providing attentive service and ensuring the seamless flow of operations. But what truly set Chili's apart was its people. From fellow servers to kitchen staff and managers, every member of the team embodied the spirit of hospitality and teamwork. We supported each other through busy shifts.

Pros and Cons
Working at Chili's provided a range of benefits and advantages that made it a rewarding experience.

It was nice working here for the few months that I did. It was a good easy job but sometimes they could care less about the employees. Once I ripped the back of my pants and they told me just to put my jacket around my waist and keep working they wouldn't let me leave for 30 minutes to change pants. Another time I had to take my child to the hospital but I was scheduled to work and I didn't go to work and they took me off the schedule and never put me back on so basically I got fired because I had to take care of my child.

Pros and Cons
Free lunch only while you're training or if you're working 6-8 plus hours a day.
Expect you to know everything and sometimes the costumers are very rude

Hopefully they have changed things since covid but extremely poor about sanitary issues always afraid somebody was going to get sick. Dishwasher rules on sanitation were routinely ignored and product expiration labels were just replaced every day no matter how old. Company always put labor costs ahead of safety. Felt they always set employees up for failure.

Pros and Cons
You make enough to pay your bills if you can handle the stress

If you are looking to work as a Manager at Chili's I would consider passing on it. The area director has no idea on what he is doing and does not promote Managers to the General Manager position fairly, he plays favorites

Pros and Cons
free food
terrible working conditions
