Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma is a federally recognized Native American nation It is the third-largest federally recognized tribe in the United States. The chief of the Nation is Gary Batton, who took office on April 29, 2014. Its headquarters is based in Durant. There are twelve districts in the Nation. The total area of the Nation is 28,140 km2 and the total population as of the 2010 census is 233,126. It is the way of thinking of the Nation’s Health Services Authority to offer quality-centered types of assistance through compelling interchanges, collaboration, and safeguarding of the pride, social qualities, and strength of people we serve. The General Fund Operating Budget, the Health Systems Operating Budget, and the Capital Projects Budget are assessed at $516 Million. The administrative authority is vested in the Tribal Council. Individuals from the Tribal Council are chosen by the Choctaw public, one for every one of the twelve Districts in the Nation.
