Chrysler is one of the “Big Three” automobile manufacturers in the United States which was founded by Walter P. Chrysler on June 6,1925 with its headquarters located in Auburn Hills,Michigan. The company will be renamed as Stellantis after the completion of the merger between Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and Peugeot S.A. in the first quarter of 2021. In 1925, from the remains of the Maxwell Motor Company the actual Chrysler Corporation was established by Walter Chrysler. It was taken by Daimler-Benz in 1998, and the holding company was renamed as Daimler Chrysler. After Daimler relieved Chrysler in 2007,the company stayed as Chrysler LLC and Chrysler Group LLC before having a merger with Fiat S.p.A. in 2014 and turning into a subsidiary of its successor Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. In the 1960s, it expanded into Europe by taking control of French,British and Spanish auto companies. Fiat S.p.A declared a deal on January 1,2014 to buy the rest of Chrysler from the United auto workers retiree health trust.
