Compared to culinary this job a relaxing (depending on location) and simple job, restock, greeting people, watching the store. Its a real exciting place to . . . Be bored out of your mind, dont get me wrong when I say its nice to get paid doing nothing after busting your back at a previous job but holy cow this is probably one of the "best" hack jobs ill ever go to.
Pros and Cons
Simple, flexible
Low pay, potential (*******) customers

Very poor training. Most things I had to figure out for my self. Can't blame people for what they don't know. Tell that to the manger. For some, please don't make me go into detail. I mean Use cynical people.

As a manager the freedom of hiring and directing staff was amazing. However, there was no work life balance and very kittle support from upper management. As a regular employee you have a better balance of work and life.
Pros and Cons
Great Benefits, pto, sick, and vacation days

Managers working 36 hours straight and expected to keep stores open no matter what. I had to quit and send an email to corporate office because distrct managers dont care about managers. I heard once i wrote the email that the employess and managers got raises and some stores closed for 3rd shift. Im sure I burned a bridge but i am happy to help all the remaining people there. My health was sufferring from working so many hours every week and never having a day off for over a year and a half. Guess its good for single people but being a mamager on call all the time cost me my health and marriage.
Pros and Cons
I cant think of any right now

I worked there for 5 months, that’s the worst 5 months ever. The manager was all over the place. I worked 2nd shift all by myself. While 1st shift have 2 employees and 1manager in the store. And the manager still expected me to do as much as what the 1st shift employees do. And the manager kept on schedule me over the time that I can not work.
Pros and Cons
Nothing at all
No food lunch, Bad management, no break at all, can’t sit for 8 hrs shift,

Honestly the company puts a lot on the shoulders of it's employees especially their store managers and I personally feel they do the bare minimum to support them with enough employees or resources to successfully meet the demands

I have never been surrounded by love and support like I am at the k as I call it. I have never had friends or anything close until I chose to work at this particular store. I have the best coworkers I could ask for. It has honestly been the best place I have ever worked. I have other offers for more compensation but I won't give up my customers or coworkers.
Pros and Cons

I wasn’t happy with the fact, that I wasn’t compensated from the beginning, for having experience working in gas station, and with the public for years, yet others when hired were!! I was lied to on several occasions, and was made promise’s for which were never kept. Lastly I was punished for being sick, when the manager knew from the beginning, that I was still dealing with the fallout, from as serious injury AND illness, when I was hired!!
Pros and Cons
Bonuses for a job well done
Being given less hours than knew employees

I worked at this location for a little over a year. During this time period, there were two management changes. Under the original management, there were scheduling issues that gave me too many hours to properly balance college and work. I was constantly over-scheduled and when I made it known to management I was told everything was ok. It wasn't. Fast forward to new management, the same issue occurred. This time, the assistant store manager was completely overbearing than the actual store manager. The manager understood I was in school and I believe they had my back, while the assistant manager completely disregarded my situation and proceeded to call me unreliable. I found that quite funny because they would always call me when someone called out and 9/10 I came in. Experience aside, I found a good friend from working at that store.
Pros and Cons
Holiday pay, weekly pay
terrible work/life balance, unacceptable management, horrendous pay, constant call outs,

It was much better 6 years ago when I started. however being a store manager is not for the weak at heart. there is not a work life balance 24/7. you have to have a back up plan for a back up plan if you make any kind of plans. Upper management was great in the beginning but there was a shift after COVID. ON THE up side I did meet a lot of great people along the way and made great money as a manager the benefits were pretty decent as well. The good thing is the managers ar paid hourly so if you work 80 hours you get paid for it , There is good and bad in every company just because I finally gave up on it it is a job that you can move up quite quickly and get that experience to have on your resume
Pros and Cons
People you meet and benefits
Work-Life balance is not that great

They are very racist when it comes to leveling up. My market manager was fired but before he was fired I was in the process of becoming an store manager. They gave the position to another white girl. I have never seen an actual black store manager. I was on a leave of absence they demanded me to return back to work when my doctor haven’t release me then fired me on leave of absence.
Pros and Cons
No pros in working there
The market manager cares less about you, doesn’t acknowledge you when they walk in the store

Not a bad place to work if you like being alone throughout yr shift, locking store when you need to use the restroom, stock store or clean (which all has to be done before u you or your shift with be dinged. And when you aske management for help or complain in anyway they will reduce your pay.
Pros and Cons
Some really great customers
no support from managment

This was a good job to have, but the workload was crazy for overnights with jsut one person when the store was to stay open. Security was not so good. If a gas station is open ( in these days) should have some kind of security more than cameras.
Pros and Cons
Training was good.
Crap schedule, you were just a "body"; no one cared what was going on; management could of done more

Want stocking, cleaning, sanitizing, all done while waiting on customers while working a shift alone, have to lock store to use restroom. And not safe, high robbery rate and mgmt doesnt share that info with other employees or stores.
Pros and Cons

No breaks, no lunch, work alone for majority of shift.

Would not recommend this store for anyone to work for. It has a high turnover rate, you are not allowed to take any days off if you happen to get sick, the General Manager is non-professional by yelling at their employees and cussing.
Pros and Cons
1/2 off discount on things in store
No communication, not allowed to be sick, high turnover rate, unprofessional General Manager.

Franchise management is probably not near that of corporate store. This franchise which owns 200+ stores doesn't pay their bills on time causing vendors to cut us off. Our benefits and pay were good, got paid with no issues however we were required to be at grand openings or reopening which could have been over an hour away from your home store and they wouldn't pay mileage and you had to keep your store payroll in normal budget which requires you to work more hours those weeks. Very discreet on telling you requirements to be eligible for moving up until you've been interviewed several times for upper management.
Pros and Cons
Pay, health benefits
Work life balance, what's required for advancement, doesn't pay mileage gathering over 30 miles
