City of Blaine is in Minnesota, United States, located in the counties of Anoka and Ramsey. At the time of the 2010 census, the population was 57,186. The city is part of the Minneapolis–Saint Paul metropolitan area and is mostly concentrated in Anoka County. Blaine was a part of the Anoka county, which is now Coon Rapids, Minnesota, until 1877. [nine] Phillip Leddy, an Irishman, is credited with becoming Blaine's first settler; he arrived in 1862 near a lake that now bears his misspelt name, Laddie Lake. Blaine is home to 66 parks and hundreds of miles of hiking trails. Aquartore Park, Happy Acres Park, Lexington Athletic Complex, the Blaine Baseball Complex, and Lakeside Commons Park are among the city's parks. The Blaine Wetland Sanctuary is a 500-acre preserved open space with walks and a boardwalk.
