Ventura, formally called San Buenaventura, was founded in 1782 when Mission San Buenaventura, the ninth of the California missions, was established by Saint Junipero Serra. After the Italian Saint Bonaventure by Serra, the mission was named after the slogan that Ventura is the 'city of good fortune.' The town was incorporated in 1866 along the Pacific Coast between Barbara and Los Angeles. Ventura is home to a dynamic combination of over 12,000 firms and a large population of over 53,000. It is no surprise that in Ventura, radical firms such as Patagonia, The Trade Desk, and Petunia Pickle Bottom are headquartered. It offers all sorts of information about the area, whether it is a bicycle service or a business service. It includes many job openings, along with employment benefits.
