It was established in 1972 and its headquarters is in Washington, DC. It protects water from dirty energy threats, drilling and fracking for oil and gas and it builds a future of clean water and energy. It urges members of the public to join the movement and make a difference by protecting the environment. Its mission is to protect the health, environment and well-being of the society.
