The Oregon Department of Justice under the umbrella of the state government serves the safe and healthy communities of Oregon by providing essential justice services to the people. Duties & Responsibilities This position provides administrative and support to assigned attorneys in the Civil Recovery Section. Duties include, but are not limited to:Open case files, including data entry in matter management system.Prepare documents such as forms, correspondence, memoranda, exhibits, and reports using standardized formats and established procedures.Perform copying, filing, scanning, errands, and communication with client agency representatives in support of case processing.Prepare files for closing in compliance with Civil Recovery Section procedures, including sorting documents which need to be maintained/shredded.Complete special projects as needed, such as indexing documents, archiving, preparing notebooks or discovery projects.Provide back-up to reception and mail room staff on a daily basis.WORKING CONDITIONS: Open office environment with noise from ringing telephones, printers, scanners, copiers, telephone conversations and other office equipment.
