The Oregon Department of Justice under the umbrella of the state government serves the safe and healthy communities of Oregon by providing essential justice services to the people. It is headed by Attorney General Ellen F. Rosenblum, and the DOJ also serves as the state’s law firm. Headquartered in Salem, Oregon, the agency employs around 1300 individuals throughout the state and has a two-year budget of $550 million. Also, the agency has 13 child support and 10 legal offices located across the state. Aside from representing the state government, the DOJ protects all Oregonians, especially the segments of society that are most vulnerable like seniors and children. The DOJ as well as its nine sub-divisions perform various functions such as consumer protection, crime victim compensation, child support, charitable activities, and district attorney assistance. Any and all rights not expressly granted in this Agreement are reserved by Company.
  • Certain terms, such as Section 7 or restrictions on job postings, will only apply to you if you are a Customer of Company. A Customer is defined an organization, government, state or provincial government, city, county, government agency, municipality, federal government, K-12, special district, law enforcement, college, university, academy, or institute of technology, of which is located in the United States and utilizes Company Services to post job opportunities, search for, recruit, evaluate and select Job Seekers. A Job Seeker is a natural person who accesses, uses, or creates an account on a Company controlled Service to search for and apply to jobs advertised by Customers.

  • If you will be using the Services on behalf of a Customer, you agree to these Terms on behalf of that organization and you represent that you have the authority to do so. In such case, “you” and “your” will refer to that organization. Where these Terms conflict with either pre-existing additional terms of which were mutually and explicitly agreed to between Company and you (collectively referred to as the “Parties”), or where the Parties explicitly agreed otherwise, those additional terms shall control to the extent of the conflict.
  • If you do not agree to all of terms and conditions set forth in this Agreement, you may not use the Services. You indicate your agreement to this Agreement by clicking or tapping on a button indicating your acceptance of these Terms, by executing a document that references them, or by using the Services; therefore, this Agreement is a legally binding contract between you and Company (also referred to as “we”, or “us”). Also, by agreeing to this Agreement you waive, to the extent permitted under applicable law, any rights or legal requirements that require an original (non-electronic) signature or the delivery or retention of non-electronic records in order for a contract to be legally binding.

  • Company reserves the right to modify this Agreement at any time, at its sole discretion, by posting an updated version to this web page. If you are a Customer with a subscription, changes to this Agreement shall be effective upon renewal of your subscription.   • Duties & Responsibilities This position provides administrative and support to assigned attorneys in the Civil Recovery Section. Duties include, but are not limited to:Open case files, including data entry in matter management system.Prepare documents such as forms, correspondence, memoranda, exhibits, and reports using standardized formats and established procedures.Perform copying, filing, scanning, errands, and communication with client agency representatives in support of case processing.Prepare files for closing in compliance with Civil Recovery Section procedures, including sorting documents which need to be maintained/shredded.Complete special projects as needed, such as indexing documents, archiving, preparing notebooks or discovery projects.Provide back-up to reception and mail room staff on a daily basis.WORKING CONDITIONS: Open office environment with noise from ringing telephones, printers, scanners, copiers, telephone conversations and other office equipment. Must be able to concurrently handle multiple tasks with limited daily supervision. Must be able to work under heavy pressure to meet deadlines. Must be able to perform specialized record processing activities requiring independent judgment to make decisions or select course of action based on laws, rules, policies, and procedures. Must be able to exercise confidentiality. Must be able to work well with a team and individually.   • CONDUCT EXPECTATIONS: Qualifications, Required & Requested Skills MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSTwo years of general clerical experience, one year of which included typing, word processing, or other experience generating documents; ORAn Associate's degree in Office Occupations or Office Technology; ORGraduation from a private school of business with a Certificate in Office Occupations or Office Technology and one year of general clerical experience.College courses in Office Occupations or Office Technology will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.REQUESTED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEAbility to independently organize and prioritize workload.Experience accurately entering and maintaining information in a case management database system.Experience with high volume scanning and electronic document management.Skilled in working with Microsoft Word to create forms, correspondence, or reports.Ability to gain information from various sources, determine if the information is correct and/or complete, and to take appropriate action.Public contact experience that includes explaining rules and regulations and providing exceptional customer service.Professionalism in understanding customer needs and referring calls to appropriate person or resource.
