About Clinical Reviewer

What does a Clinical Reviewer do?

As Clinical Reviewers, we review and verify healthcare documents prior to their submission to insurance companies. It is our job to gather required information to verify authenticity of medical records. We make sure that the requirements are met in the paperwork before it is sent to insurance companies for processing. By evaluating information obtained through reviews, we suggest improvements in provision of care to the patients. It is our responsibility to ensure compliance of insurance documents to the laws and regulations. It is our responsibility to convey special requirements and restrictions to healthcare staff. We also check review process for improvements.

Core tasks:

  • review and verify compliance of medical records for insurance coverage
  • communicate limitations of certain cases to healthcare staff to help them provide relevant services
  • suggest improvements in evaluation of documents to make it more efficient
  • maintain confidentiality of medical records at all times
