About Clinical Support Specialist

What does a Clinical Support Specialist do?

As Clinical Support Specialists, we plan, administer, and coordinate clinical research projects. We provide technical support to all teams participating in the research projects. Overseeing and finding issues in every step of the research project lifecycle is our duty. We also direct the work of team members and ensure compliance with protocols and overall clinical aim. We also evaluate and analyze clinical information and data. We coordinate our activities with the project managers and directors.

Core tasks:

  • tracking enrollment of document dropout data such as dropout roots
  • reviewing the scientific literature and attend conferences and seminars
  • identifying protocol glitches, inform researchers about problems and look for solutions
  • confer with health care specialists to determine the best enrolment strategies for studies
