Cable News Network (CNN) is a broadcast-based American television channel which was founded in 1980 by an American media holder Ted Turner and Reese Schonfeld as a 24-hour cable news channel and today it is headquartered in Hudson Yards, United States and its studios located in Washington D.C. and Los Angeles.It is known for its dramatic live coverage of breaking news and was the initial television channel to offer 24-hour news coverage upon its launch in 1980 and also the first-all news television channel in the United States. To differentiate the U.S.channel from its international sister network, CNN International,the company named itself as CNN/U.S. The channel has 90.1 million television households as subscribers in the United States as of September 2018 and also ranks 14th among all basic cable networks. It comes in third position in the viewership among cable news networks in 2019 behind its opponent Fox News and MSNBC averaging 972,000 viewers.
