Coca-Cola Bottling Co. was founded on February 19, 1906 and its headquarters are based in Charlotte, North Carolina. It is the supreme independent Coca-Cola bottler in the United States. The company that later became Coca-Cola Bottling Company Consolidated was established by the current chairman’s great-grandfather, J.B. Harrison. That company was consolidated with other bottlers to form Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated in 1973. It was assimilated in 1980, acquired Wometco in 1985, and acquired Sunbelt Coca-Cola in 1991 along with that it announced a major expansion into Kentucky in 2018. The company assembles, sells, and dispenses Coca-Cola products along with other beverages, distributing to a market of 65 million people in 14 states and it has 13 manufacturing facilities, 80 distribution and warehouses. The company owns approximately 35 percent of its total outstanding common stock as of January 1, 2017, which represents approximately 5 percent of the total voting power of its combined common stock and Class B common stock.

This was my 1st job out of High School, 1978. My brother-in-law worked there, and got me in. Used their truck for my road test. Worked with man who owned his own route. He trained me, and when he felt I was capable , he called in in the morning, and told me to take care of the route.

As a merchandiser who is just beginning you will most likely be a floater, you won’t be in the same set of stores more than maybe 2 days week.
The best thing is they match 5% and another one and a half at the end of the year.👍

Merchandising and Distribution days are no less than 10 hours long. Sometimes this could make the day-rate seem less appealing. ☹
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. Panel interview of 3 individuals . Make sure you practice the STAR method because the question they ask you they want to dive deep and how you figure out solutions to curtain problem. TML
