About Coding Analyst

What does a Coding Analyst do?

We, coding analysts, are healthcare professionals. Our job duty includes medical billing, coding, and submission. Being coding analysts, we are responsible for making sure that all medical coding in documents and patient records is accurate and appropriate. We have to provide support to senior analysts. Our additional job duties include evaluating, billing, and recompense documentation. We also have to determine if the files fulfill the federal policies. We are essentially assigned the job of reviewing, auditing, and coding medical inventories.

Core tasks:

  • training inexpert staff regarding all coding requirements and providing all information according to institute policies
  • evaluating all data input for medical records
  • maintaining fee schedule in coordination with physicians
  • analyzing all code principal files for unsuitable codes
