I have worked at Coldstone for 3 years. It was absolutely not the best 3 years but i needed money to get by in college. The boss would never be present in the shop, she’d yell at employees, hang up the phone on employees, never were understanding, they even would change the hours worked to pay employees less.
Pros and Cons
The ice cream, the customers
Boss wasn’t reasonable or understanding. Constantly talking badly about

I loved working here for awhile but later on it turned absolutely terrible. Management Is horrible and u will be treated terribly if you work at the meridian, Boise or Nampa Idaho location. The owner of the location I worked at spent over half an hour yelling at his 15 year old employees in front of several customers. He also continued to laugh in our faces when we wanted to have a serious conversation with him and when defending ourselves. His sister also continued to laugh and talk about us to customers. Over the last couple of weeks he has kicked out his 14, 15 and 16 year old employees while they where working leaving them stuck outside alone in a parking lot. He would call us everyday to tell us where doing something wrong and rules that he would give us apparently didn’t apply to him. He also made it certain that we where aware he doesn’t care about our well being his business or his customers. He lost 40 employees in 2 weeks. 2 locations with no employees because of his actions.
Pros and Cons
Free ice cream, coworkers
Bad pay, disrespected, bad management, treated awful, can easily be sent home and or fired

Max Soloman has taken on too many franchises at once. He barely communicates with this store managers. In my position, I was left with no supervision. He didn't provide a budget for ads to run on Facebook or Instagram. He doesn't know how social media works and he won't make the time to understand it. He never communicated with me about what I could post on my personal accounts, and then he got mad that I was at another ice cream place posting pictures with my friends. Facebook shut down our location pages because it "violated community guidelines"... the only explanation I can think of is that I created a whole new user to not associate myself with the pages. However, unless you're an actual person, you cannot create a whole new user. He didn't want to understand this and blamed me for losing the pages. He fired me over text, then changed his mind as he didn't want to lose online presence, but when I started posting again, he got mad at me and fired me again over text.
Pros and Cons
Free ice cream

I loved working here in highschool and the owner was very kind and considerate! He let me have shifts off when I had a big test or project due. The experience was great and I got to try many fun skills that included decorating cupcakes, making ice cream sandwiches and ice cream cakes, and taking creative cake orders from customers.
Pros and Cons
complementary dinners often, flexible hours, clean and safe working environment
During the winter season it will be hard to get hours and make good wages
