Established as a charitable voluntary behavioural health organisation in Portage County in 1978, Coleman was named after Father Kevin Coleman, a man motivated by both his religion and mental health activism. Its business areas and capabilities have been extended by Coleman Technical Services. Currently a globally recognised nonprofit, Coleman supports nine Ohio counties and local areas with extensive mental wellness, residential, housing and supportive programmes. It is Coleman Professional Services' goal to enrich the lives of individuals it represents, regardless of their willingness to pay. Its mission is that Coleman Professional Services strives to be the leading agency for mental health, residential, and recovery, and an organisation that shows financially stable responsible development. It offers various career opportunities along with numerous benefits for the employees such as paid leaves, retirement plans, and insurance.
