College of DuPage operates to serve the educational needs of the communities of DuPage County, as a public community college, through the main campus situated in Glen Ellyn, Illinois, and annexed satellite facilities located in the Illinois communities of Carol Stream, Naperville, Addison, and Westmont. Accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, the college offers transfer degree and technical education programs in various fields and disciplines, that are available through its ‘3+1 degree’ curriculum, where students can avail three years of classes at College of DuPage and the fourth year taught by a partner university on College of DuPage's campus. The college opened its doors in 1967, holding classes in office trailers and leased suburban sites. Currently, the college has 23 facilitated buildings, housing 296 full-time, 1130 part-time academic staff, with further openings available to qualified professionals, providing them with a variety of resources to help them with their short and long-term career goals.
