PeerForward's goal is to use the power of positive peer influence to bind low-income youth to college and employment, thus transforming their lives. PeerForward, which was formerly known as College Summit, utilizes a readily accessible resource present in any high school - influential students - to expand postsecondary achievement outcomes. It educates and guides groups of students through the college planning and admissions process. These groups of students return to their high schools to lead campaigns aimed at guiding and assisting their peers on their way to college. As compared to comparable high schools, the partner high schools have a 26 percent higher rate of financial aid applications and see a 20 percent rise in college enrollment.
