About Colorist

What does a Colorist do?

As Colorists, we are responsible for developing different color formulas for printing textile and plastic materials. We compare different colors and customer's samples with the standard color card. Our job is to determine the formula required to duplicate colors by blending pigments into vinyl solution and comparing results with the samples. We are responsible for working on the final products and running checks to ensure that all the rules and regulations are followed.

Core tasks:

  • use property description desired by the customer to select the dyes
  • assign appropriate color-mixing procedure and formula to the workers
  • setting up printing machine by preparing color sequence chart to guide CLOTH PRINTER
  • maintain a folder containing color formulas and patches for each design to be used in printing standards
