The Columbus Blue Jackets is a group of Ice Hockey Team played in the National Hockey League. They represent a member of the Metropolitan Division of the Eastern conference with other teams in the Metropolitan area. They are a professional ice hockey team. They established the Columbus Blue Jacket team in 1997, but they began to play as an expansion team in 2000. The team is based in Columbus, Ohio, United States. They play a nationwide arena. The captain of the team is Nick Foligno. The coach is John Tortorella. The Blue Jackets' name was chosen in light of the fact that the name gives recognition to Ohio's commitments to American history and the incredible pride and nationalism displayed by its residents, particularly during the Civil War as both the province of Ohio and the city of Columbus were altogether persuasive on the Union Army.
