About Commercial Lines Sales Executive

What does a Commercial Lines Sales Executive do?

As commercial lines sales executives, we usually work for insurance providers and financial organizations, where we specialize in selling commercial lines insurance solutions (as opposed to personal lines). These cover commercial risks, and include CGL, commercial property insurance, and more. We drive and execute the entire sales cycle from prospecting to close, using inside and/or outside sales methods. Our performance is usually measured against set sales targets.

Core tasks:

  • outbound soliciting and prospecting (cold-calling)
  • preparing and conducting client meetings and presentations (virtual or in person)
  • closing up on deals and finalizing contracts
  • making regular sales calls to develop relationships and facilitate renewals
  • keeping informed on insurance market trends
