About Commercial Lines Underwriter

What does a Commercial Lines Underwriter do?

As the commercial lines underwriters, our primary responsibilities include handling commercial and contractual issues. Our job role requires us to check applications and accept or reject them. We possess strong negotiation and strategic thinking skills as we work with people from various departments to sort out problems. Our responsibilities also include recording the data of all clients, filing the reason of insurence accepted or rejection. As commercial lines underwriters, we are good at communication and inquire clients about why they need insurence. Along with all these roles, we also manage the paperwork, data entry, and risk evaluation.

  • managing customer relations with commercial clients
  • performing data check
  • performing paperwork related tasks
  • performing risk evaluation with giving insurance
  • accepting and rejecting insurance applications
