Description

As Communications Specialists, we generate press releases, statements, talking points, advisories, factsheets, op-eds, letters to the editor, and other press materials. We use AP style and house style to ensure that copy adheres to the company’s style guides while managing required edits during the approval process to ensure an error-free product. We also cooperate with the program staff and Communications Team to develop and implement media plans to establish strong relationships with reporters in our working districts. We work with appropriate program staff to coordinate, execute and publicize press events, teleconferences, and other promotional activities.

Core tasks:

  • lead media and communications strategies to support the company’s PR effort
  • collaborate with coalition partners in strategy, materials development, and action
  • research and develop talking points and other media relations and programmatic materials as required
