Overview

Are you looking to join a dynamic and high energy team where you can exercise your creative visual marketing skills?

The Communication Specialist is a member of the creative and marketing team of Kettering Health Network. This position will have the unique experience of working to bring to life the mission, faith, and direction of the organization as a whole.

Responsibilities & Requirements

This team member is a communicator who wields excellent writing and editing skills, exercises attention to detail, and demonstrates strong project management experience. This position serves as managing editor of Physician Quarterly, the network’s publication for medical staff. This team member also executes communication campaigns and programs that align with the network’s strategy. They use critical thinking and work both independently and collaboratively to ensure messaging consistently reflects network branding and strategic initiatives.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as managing editor for physician publication.
  • Create and implement strategic communications campaigns and programs.
  • Develop, write, and edit timely content for publications and other marketing communications campaigns.
  • Collaborate with internal team members and external vendors, including designers, photographers, videographers, and freelancers.
  • Use storytelling techniques to engage audiences.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, publications, English, or relevant field strongly preferred.
  • Experience: 1-4 years of experience in communications, marketing, and/or journalism and 1-4 years of experience in publications, writing, and editing strongly preferred.
