The communications supervisor title may mean different things in different organizations. Often we are responsible for a team of communications specialists, such as dispatchers or operators. We assist in the planning and coordination of their day-to-day operations, and provide them with guidance and leadership.
Some of us work in corporate communications under the same title. In this case we may or may not have a supervisory role. We draft, edit, and proofread communications materials, manage correspondence, communications plans and social media strategies.
