CEC or Community Education Center is a private corrections company. They support, organizes, and operate on rehabilitative, residential reentry facilities, jails, and in-prison drug treatment program services. This was founded in 1996. The headquarter is located in Boca Raton, Florida, United States. The parent organization of CEC is GEO Gr. They do drug treatment programs in seventeen American States and in Bermuda. Also, this firm operates in fourteen jails, mostly in Texas. In 2007 CEC acquired a jail management company called CiviGenics. CEC runs roughly 17 residential facilities and five outpatient programs, with approximately 22,000 individuals under its care. The facilities offer a range of services that include assessment and treatment for drug and alcohol abuse, job-readiness training and life-skills preparation, women's and family services programs, and an alumni association.
