Job Description

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:* Responsible for all coordinating of company and group functions and other Catering functions* Work with clients to plan and execute functions* Meets with clients to ensure all needs are met throughout their event/stay* Execute wedding ceremonies and receptions with clients to exceed guest expectations* Ability to up sell menus, bars, add-ons, etc.* Coordinate banquet event meetings* Communicate effectively with clients, managers and team members to ensure room set-ups, supplies and staffing to exceed guest expectations* BEO and weekly event distribution* Coordinate and manage pre and post event meetings with clients and Resort staff* Management of all set-up planning, BEO creation and over site of all functions* Coordination and implementation of all group room blocks* Manage all group functions in Opera Sales and Catering system* Ability to handle audio visual needs for clients as dictated* Work with the finance department on coordinating billing efforts* All other job duties as assigned by managementORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:* Reports to Resort Sales ManagerSKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:* High School diploma or equivalent.* Minimum 2 years banquet/sales coordinating in a group environment* Knowledge of Opera Sales and catering system a plus* Must be able to lift and carry over 20 pounds* Must be detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously* Must be able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and other shifts as necessary* Valid Driver's License and a clear driving record

  • Consult with customers to determine objectives and requirements for events, such as meetings, conferences, and conventions.
  • Review event bills for accuracy and approve payment.
  • Coordinate services for events, such as accommodation and transportation for participants, facilities, catering, signage, displays, special needs requirements, printing and event security.
  • Arrange the availability of audio-visual equipment, transportation, displays, and other event needs.

  • ClericalKnowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
  • Customer and Personal ServiceKnowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Computers and ElectronicsKnowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
