Special Education Teacher
San Juan Capistrano, CA - May 13, 2024
Truly an awful organization, only a few people know the full extent of how terrible they are because staff turnover is so high. A cult-like atmosphere where only Mormons can make it to the top. You are expected to work well beyond a normal 40 hour week but no paid overtime. Staff collaboration is frowned upon: management wants everyone to be on their own little islands so nobody can connect and advocate for better conditions. The special education department is a joke, run by people with no training in the field. PE teachers and many electives teachers have over 700 students each. The curriculum is absurdly difficult, outdated, and not relevant. I would absolutely not have my child attend this school. This is a perfect example of what happens when charter schools take over: they are helping erode the education system.

Customer Care

I worked as a customer care agent at the office in Margate, FL, via Global Response. I enjoyed assisting parents of students with the registration process, addressing questions, and helping with any issues that may have arisen (such as the receipt and return of scholastic materials, etc.). I really felt as if I was making a difference.
Pros and Cons
Supportive environment with friendly staff
Cannot think of any cons at this time.
