Position Summary/ObjectiveTriMark USA, LLC. is one of the country's largest providers of design services, equipment and supplies to the foodservice industry. We work closely with our customers, which include national restaurant chains, independent restaurant operators, healthcare facilities, entertainment venues, and many other segments, to provide the products and services that will help them operate more efficiently and realize better bottom line results.The Western Region has revenues exceeding $600M with locations in Orange County, San Diego, San Francisco and Phoenix. The Western Region Controller will work directly with the regional CFO and executive leadership team to maximize the return on financial assets and drive effective business policy and strategy. Essential Functions & ResponsibilitiesGuide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.Provide timely collection and interpretation of key financial data, trends and forecasts.This should include strong analytics as well as documented commentary explaining results and variances from a business perspective and suggesting corrective action where warranted.Support all period end close activities, including the accounting close process, reconciliations, and workpapers.Review and analyze revenues and expenses, including development of processes and procedures to manage costs and profitability.Utilize metrics and reporting tools to assist in control and management of working capital across all business units and functions.Provide cross-functional leadership and coordination of all audit activity.This may include financial audits, bank audits, or other such compliance audits as required.Work closely with Trimark Corporate accounting and finance staff to fulfill all requests for information, reporting, or other needs in a timely and accurate manner.Develop a high-performing finance team through effective coaching, development, accountability and succession planning to support a growing business model.Advise management of any areas of potential risk. Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities.Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives to identify their needs and seek full range of business solutions.Ensure effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.Become a leading expert in the region’s JDE ERP implementationPerform other related duties as required and requested.Competencies, Skills and AbilitiesStrong systems skills are mandatory; must have extensive knowledge of ERP systemsGreat management and leadership skillsStrong knowledge of efficient transactional accounting processesAbility to communicate technical financial information in clearly understood termsAbility to manage change within an organizationStrong interpersonal communication skillsExtremely analytical, metrics-driven with a background leading an operations driven functionAbility to train and develop professional staffEducation & ExperienceCPA requiredA mix of senior level industry experience as well as Big-4 experience preferredMaster of Accounting or MBA preferredExperience in construction, retail, and/or distribution industries preferredExperience with system conversions and/or knowledge of JDE preferredExperience managing team in multi-site environment and across functions10+ years combined public and private accounting experience
