Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY: Coordinate the day-to-day- operations of the MCC Court-Mandated Programs which includes Focus on the Kids and the Traffic Safety School. Reports To: Director of Community Education ____________________________________________________________________________________ ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: · Serve as primary point of contact for MCC court-mandated programs · Coordinate and oversee operation of MCC court-mandated programs, both in-seat and on-line classes: o Interview, recommend for hire, and monitor all court-mandated program instructors o Create class schedules, secure rooms, assign instructors and create letters of intent/instructional contracts o Determine eligibility for attendance of court-mandated classes, based on court and contractual requirements o Assign participants into appropriate class o Prepare and distribute all course related material as necessary o Create and maintain all records in alignment with Court requirements o Execute electronic transmittal of participant records with appropriate agencies · Report completion and non-completion to 22 nd Judicial Court personnel within court guidelines · Ensure alignment of program offerings and schedule with court specifications and deadlines · Provide support for participants experiencing difficulties in regard to registration, payment, class completion, and/or proof of completion · Coordinate access and disability services as needed · Obtain and maintain NSC instructor certification to serve as instructional backup for traffic classes · Research and provide input on new training programs and services · Interface with OMPR, IT, and McHenry County Court officials to maintain website content · Serve as primary contact for court-mandated program data bases, coordinate system modifications, and updates as needed · Monitor program budgets and make necessary recommendations, in consultation with the Director of Community Education · Prepare program performance reports on court-mandated programs · Attend and participate in meetings and conferences, as requested · Work collaboratively to accomplish department, division, and college goals and objectives · Provide daily direction to court-mandated program assistants · Additional duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION / EXPERIENCE): · Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution · Two years’ experience working with high volume or multiple programs requiring excellent communication skills · Two years’ experience in program development and coordination DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS · Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS: · Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, significant experience with Access and data transfers from and to external systems · Ability to learn technological applications · Ability to evaluate and prioritize tasks; problem-solving ability · Ability to understand and interpret court procedures · Strong verbal and written communication skills · Strong customer service skills, with the ability to handle a large volume of calls · Ability to handle frequent distractions, work well under pressure, and make appropriate judgment calls · Ability to handle confidential data with discretion · Ability to work independently within a strong team concept · Strong organizational skills, attention to detail · Ability to safely lift up to 25 pounds unassisted · Commitment and respect for diversity and MCC Behaviors of Excellence Commitment to the College mission, values and goals
