JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary of Duties

The Communications Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the Department of Engineering Education (EED) by overseeing and developing EED branded materials; photographs curricular and research activities; creates a social media strategic plan; implements and maintains social media campaigns; creates EED publications such as quarterly and annual reports, and newsletters; writes and publishes community e-newsletters; writes EED web content and uploads through interface; designs marketing materials including booklets, brochures, programs, posters, and flyers; creates and distributes all marketing materials via print, web and/or email; serves as the liaison for communication with external stakeholders; works with the College of Engineering (COE) Communications Office to establish and sustain design standards for all EED communications materials, in compliance with university and the college branding rules and guidelines; develops and/or provides consultation on EED promotional and recruitment materials.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor s degree in communications, public relations, journalism or an equivalent combination of education and experience; experience in writing, editing, publication production, public relations; experience with web page development/maintenance and other forms of electronic communication.
