CorePower Yoga Company Reviews and Ratings
July 22, 2023
Company is dishonest. business plan is to trick people into joining the 2 free weeks and not communicating the terms and conditions. company refuses to give refunds even if customers have only been to 1 yoga class but charged for months. some customers charged over 1k in monthly fees and no refunds given. management refuses to address this issue, and blames the students saying they should have read to TOS. CPY sends no receipts or email confirmations of charges. They relate the charges and p[olicy to "netflix" type subscriptions, but the company does not send confirmation of charges. Major Scam.
Pros and Cons
Zero possitives. Predatory company.
Stay far away.

Working at CorePower was perhaps the most influential job of my life. Being able to take and teach yoga classes at any time I desired was a pretty awesome part of the job. There’s also quite a bit of flexibility in terms of what times I needed to be at work. My life changed positively in many ways because of this company. But unfortunately, aside from that, there is very little work-life balance, which seems odd for a yoga studio. Extremely intense sales goals, but they never actually call it sales. I was just about feeling extremely burned out from the job when the pandemic happened and I was laid off. The layoff, while inevitable, should have happened in a MUCH more organized and compassionate manner. Not only were hundreds of us laid off, there was NO follow-up. No information given to employees, no matter their experience with the company. Just empty promises. I was 100% a star employee and gave my blood for them, and never was asked to return when studios reopened.
Pros and Cons
Free yoga, there used to be a free plus-one membership,
No work-life balance, extremely high expectations, lofty sales goals
