What does a Corporate Counsel do?

As Corporate Counsels, we advise businesses and employees in and out of the courtroom on various legal matters. We provide legal representation to businesses and their employees. We perform legal research for the benefit of the company and its employees. We also advise on issues like property interests, contracts, collective bargaining agreements, and patents.

Core tasks:

  • assisting in the development of legal strategies for business
  • contributing to overall objectives and goals of the business
  • providing support and leadership in legal development projects
  • negotiating and drafting joint venture agreements, letters of intent, and sale & purchase agreements
  • developing processes and procedures to enhance legal support for business units
