About Corrosion Engineer

What does a Corrosion Engineer do?

As Corrosion Engineers, we are tasked with collecting and analyzing the project’s technical specifications issued by the company in order to define the right anticorrosion strategy by using coating, painting, cp, or chemical treatment depending on the situation. We also issue engineering adequate corrosion documents that include pipeline and Topside equipment review and interface with other electrical equipment. We liaise with major material and equipment suppliers regarding the latest development in the anticorrosion field.

Core tasks:

  • transfer the anticorrosion strategies to the painting and coating department
  • develop and design new chemical treatments and CRA
  • supervise laboratory experimental research in the corrosion field
