Cottage Health has been serving the community for more than 125 years, having been founded in 1888. Cottage Health, the not-for-profit parent corporation of Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, Cottage Children's Medical Center, and Cottage Rehabilitation Hospital, was founded in 1996. Goleta Valley Cottage Hospital and Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital are governed by a volunteer board of directors from the greater Santa Barbara community and provide exemplary health care, continuous improvements in medical practice, and a commitment to their communities to the residents of the Central and South Coast. The mission is to deliver exceptional health care to the communities and to enhance their health by adhering to the fundamental values of quality, honesty, and compassion.
