Covestro German based company that manufactures raw ingredients from polyurethane and polycarbonate. Isocyanates and polyols for cellular foams, thermoplastic polyurethane and polycarbonate pellets, and polyurethane-based formulations for coatings and adhesives are among the company's offerings. It is a Bayer spin-off that was established in the fall of 2015 and was previously known as Bayer Material Science, Bayer's materials science department. In Oct. 2015, Covestro shares were listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. In May 2018, Bayer sold the remaining interest, with a 6.8% stake operated independently by Bayer's pension fund. Automotive production and supply, electrical engineering and electronics, architecture and home goods, and sports and recreation are the other sectors represented.
