About Custom Protection Officer

What does a Custom Protection Officer do?

In the role of Custom Protection Officers, we conduct armed or unarmed foot or vehicle patrol. Our duties include: control access and egress. We monitor CCTV and alarm systems. We compose reports and deter criminal activity and misconduct. It is our duty to perform security patrols of designated areas. We track irregular or unusual conditions that may cause security concerns or safety hazards. We sound alarms or calls the police or fire department in case of fire. Warning violators of rule infractions is our responsibility. We track and identify loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles. We permit authorized persons to enter the property. Monitoring entrances and exits is a part of our job.

Core tasks:

  • track departing personnel to protect against theft of company property
  • ensure the conduction of authorized removal of property within appropriate client requirements
  • investigate and prepare reports on accidents and suspicious activities
  • maintain written logs
  • provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors
