About Customer Service Manager

What does a Customer Service Manager do?

As Customer Service Managers, we are responsible for managing members of the customer service team. We oversee the team schedule. Resolving emergency issues and providing training for new employees is our duty. We handle service issues and meet all customer and company expectations. It is our responsibility to develop the Customer Service team. We hire and train new team members. We research strategies to further improve the customer experience. Distributing work among team members is our responsibility. We develop standards and procedures for the department. We also document customer service discussions and actions.

Core tasks:

  • maintain records and files of documentation
  • manage budget and expenses
  • maintain all customer service procedures and policies
  • address returns, refunds, and shipping tracking numbers
  • record and file customer interactions and profile changes
  • provide resources for quality customer service
  • put in place customer service strategies to improve the quality of service
  • address and resolve team and customer conflicts
  • anticipate and resolve customer service issues
