The School District (CFISD) is a self-sustaining school district which was launched in December 1939 with its headquarters based in northwest unincorporated Harris County, Texas, United States. It is the supreme recognized school district in the state of Texas with 75 out of 78 campuses receiving an ‘Exemplary’ rating by the Texas Education Agency in 2010. CFISD is committed to ensuring that individuals with disabilities have an opportunity equal to their nondisabled peers to participate in all the activities. Learn, Empower, Achieve and Dream are the vision of the district and its mission is to maximize every student’s potential through rigorous and relevant learning experiences preparing students to be the global leaders of the 21st century. The district had 92 general-purpose campuses as of August 2020 which includes 56 elementary schools, 19 middle schools, 13 high schools, and 4 special program facilities and it covers almost 186 square miles of land.
