Responsibilities:
As a Data Entry Representative you will be responsible for daily data entry of patient demographics, patient insurance carrier information and patient charge information into CoPath or the AS400 system. Research and correct any missing or invalid data entry information.
Accurately enter patient data and medical claim information into CoPath and/or the AS400 system.
Communicate with Team Lead and other personnel when data entry information is invalid.
Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations.
Maintain compliance with company and department policies and procedures.
Maintain confidentiality of employee, patient, client and company records and issues.
Communicate effectively with all levels of management, co-workers, clients, and patients to provide quality customer service.
Familiarity with negotiated contracts.

Requirements
A minimum of 1 year of experience in data entry. Medical billing experience preferred.
Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with co-workers and management personnel.
High level of accuracy and speed when entering data into the ProPath systems. Incumbent must be detail oriented.
Knowledge of Medical Insurance claim processing including CPT coding, ICD-10 coding, and Lab requisitions.
Familiarity with Microsoft software including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
