What does a Data Security Analyst do?

As Data Security Analysts, we are responsible for installing and uninstalling various security programs. We protect sensitive data using firewalls and data-encryption technology and regularly update to remove bugs and add new features. We are also responsible for all aspects of a data system.

Core tasks:

  • performing security audits, risk assessments, and analysis
  • researching breaches of data security and rectifying security weaknesses
  • instructing computer users on security
  • formulating security policies and guidelines
  • making recommendations for improving data system security
