About Database Administrator

What does a Database Administrator do?

As Database Administrators, we ensure the effective storage and organization of information in the company database. We work in the information technology department of corporate companies and try to guarantee the smoothness of all data operations within the company. Ensuring that the database is functional at all times is also a part of our responsibility. We manage database access and maintain the standards of the database. We are also responsible for the diagnosis and troubleshooting of all database errors. Furthermore, we create automation for repeating tasks related to databases. For optimization of data security, we develop various types of processes and strategies.

Core tasks:

  • install, upgrade, and manage the database applications and systems
  • design and implement strategies for backup and restoring of data
  • design and configure database models according to the company's requirements
  • install and maintain database servers performance
  • create and manage the database reports, dashboards, and visualizations
