Daytona International Speedway, founded in 1959 and headquartered in Daytona Beach, Florida, is a race track and a home to the most prestigious race in NASCAR and hosts races of ARCA, A.M.A. Superbike, and Motocross. The track was constructed by funding from various multinational organizations, including Pepsi-Cola and General Motors. The first practice race on the track was run in 1959, and 42,000 people attended that inaugural race. The track is a tri-oval in shape and has a distance of 2.5 miles total.
