More than 43,000 public charter school students who deserve a great education and a bright future depend on the DC Public Charter School Board (DC PCSB) to ensure their school is excellent. As Washington DC’s sole public charter school authorizer, we don’t operate schools. Instead, we oversee DC’s 123 independently-run public charter schools, ensuring that they comply with the law, are good stewards of taxpayer funds, and deliver a quality public education to the residents of Washington, DC.
