About Dealer Account Manager

What does a Dealer Account Manager do?

As dealer account managers, we work for companies that provide products or services to automotive dealerships. Our job is to manage existing accounts and draw in new business using various sales methods. We identify and follow up on prospects, prepare and deliver presentations and proposals, and drive the sales cycle to close. We assist existing accounts with questions and issues, and we maintain a relationship with them. We identify and secure account development opportunities.

Core tasks:

  • maintaining relationship with automotive dealers by regular visits
  • ensuring customer satisfaction by resolving issues
  • identifying and securing upselling and cross-selling opportunities
  • managing new sales cycle from prospecting to close
