The agency offers contract administration services for the Department of Defense, international partners and other federal organizations, and is a crucial part of the acquisition process from pre-award to sustainment. DCMA has 12,000+ workforce, mostly civilians, who work at offices and contractors globally among one international command, three continental U.S. commands, and other specialized offices. Totally, the agency takes care of 300,000 contracts, valued at over $7 trillion, at 15,000 contractor locations globally.
