Desert Industries is a non-profit organization created by the Church of Jesus Latter-day Saints. Founded in 1938 and located in Salt Lake, United States. Just like other Goodwill Industries, DI provides welfare services, they accept the donation of items people no longer need, like furniture, appliances, furniture, clothing, computers, and many more. DI sells these items and invest it in people willing to learn new skills and earn money in the process to support the employee. It also sells new furniture produced by its manufacturer plant and provide jobs for the physically, emotionally, and socially challenged people in the private sector employment. The company's goal can be extracted in its slogan which says 'People helping people help themselves'. This is thought to help trainees to be self-reliant and become eligible for employment in the job market. DI services can be classified into four categories.
